The Mill was built between 1900 and 1910 and operated for many years as a gas powered flour mill, 100 years later the building has been lovingly restored and converted into a toy and pedal car museum which is widely considered the largest and finest collection of pedal cars in Europe. With exhibits dating from Victorian times, visitors of all ages will enjoy a trip down memory lane as a world in miniature awaits discovery.  The majority of exhibits  on display in the Museum have been lovingly played with by children from around the world.

The Mill Tea Rooms  - We have a good choice of hot and cold beverages and lovely hand made cakes to tempt you with in addition to our good value snacks. You are very welcome to pop in to our tea rooms without visiting the museum.

The Mill overlooks the Kent & East Sussex Railway Station at Northiam so you can come and visit us here whilst enjoying a great day out on the railway. As a railway visitor, we are delighted to offer valid K&ESR ticket holders a £1 per person discount on their entry price making this a great value stop. If you are coming by car The Mill has its own free car park.

Visitors to the Railway who are in possession of a valid Toy Museum ticket for that day, will be granted a discount of £2 adult, £1 child, £5 family ticket if starting their journey from Northiam Station and purchasing an All-Day-Rover Ticket, see when the railway is running.
This offer is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Group Bookings - If you have a group of 10+ who would like a private viewing of the museum, this can be arranged for an evening and during most days when we are closed, please contact us to arrange.
